Do you sometimes feel that you're a fair ways away from really being proficient on the Agilent 3070? Too many irons in the fire, or lost in the woods? We know what you're thinking, and we've got an answer...
This is a one week programming course designed to bring intermediate users of the Agilent 3070 test system up to par on board test development. The course guides students through complete board test and fixture development on individual customer boards. We'll spend one week doing some pretty serious test program development, combined with seven days of very serious golf on the most beautiful courses in South Florida. At the completion of the course, students will have developed a complete board test program for the Agilent 3070 on the board of their choice, and hopefully taken a few strokes off their game (strokes not included in class guaranteed deliverables).
The class and golf schedule is planned as a half day each for five days, plus two weekend days of all golf or programming lab. Two sessions will be offered each day. Students can choose to start their day on a beautiful golf course, followed by a half day of test development, or start with test development, and finish the day on the course. The test programming classes run Monday through Friday, with optional one-on-one lab time available on Saturday and Sunday for those who want just a bit more time on the system, or have overloaded on the fun and sun on the courses (we'll find out where your real interests lie by who shows up here). The golf will run half days during the regular work week (18 holes, time and weather permitting), and 36 holes on Saturday and Sunday. Shuttle buses will provide transportation to and from the class and course.
Instructors for the programming course are recognized leaders in the industry. Additional technical staff is available throughout the course to guide students through the development process. Each student will have access to personalized, individual guidance through the entire development process with a seasoned professional with years of experience programming the Agilent 3070.
Paluch, Inc. golf pros, hand chosen through a demanding and rigorous selection process (how do you get a job like this?), will host and guide all students through some of the most beautiful and enjoyable courses available in South Florida. Members of the instructor's technical staff will join students on the golf courses to create a "work and play" environment (there is no way any of them will miss this little executive perk). In addition, we promise you'll never forget the refreshments planned at various key holes throughout the day.
Students should have a working knowledge of the Agilent 3070 through job experience, or have previously attended the Agilent 3070 Programming Fundamentals course. We're not going to spend any time in class talking about what a resistor is, or how to change directories. This course will teach test engineers how to professionally utilize their time and skills developing board test programs on the Agilent 3070.
The class will guide students through real board test development projects. Students should bring current or future projects to the course (CAD data, schematics, clubs, etc). During the week, complete Agilent 3070 test program and fixture files will be developed for each customer's board. At the end of the course, students will be able to send their test development files to the fixture vendor of their choice. Various test fixture vendors will be available at select times during the week to allow for the procurement of a test fixture during the course. Test fixture procurement during the course is offered as a service and is, of course, optional.
The following files will be generated for each student:

Enrollment is now open for Summer, 2002 classes. Class size is limited to allow for maximum instructor to student interaction. Slots are going fast. Send us an email if you're interested and we'll tee up a place for you.
It doesn’t get much better than this. The requirement to learn and stay current will never disappear in our industry. Things change so fast that all of us need the interaction and exchange of information that groupings provide. But there is no excuse for offering these mandatory settings in only gray environments (you'll be thinking greens by the end, if you get my drift).
